Castle of Good Hope

The Castle of Good Hope, located on the edge of Cape Town's CBD, was constructed between 1666 and 1679 by the Dutch East India Company (VOC). Originally established as a maritime replenishment station, it became the heart of civilian, administrative, and military activities in the Cape from 1678 until the surrounding area expanded and operations moved elsewhere. Today, the Castle serves as the headquarters for the military in the Cape and welcomes visitors to explore its rich history.

Bo Kaap

Nestled beneath the slopes of Signal Hill, the Bo Kaap is a captivating and lively neighborhood that remarkably escaped the forced removals during Apartheid. Also known as the Malay Quarter, this area is renowned for its brightly colored cottages, steep cobblestone streets, and rich Malay heritage. A visit to Cape Town would be incomplete without exploring the vibrant charm of the Bo Kaap!

With numerous exhibits to explore, the museum also features a Planetarium housed within the same building.
